ADOMUKASVANASANA AND SAM

I recently interviewed a fairly renowned Yoga expert and asked her to critique the above student's adomukasvanasana position. Otherwise known as 'down dog.' The following comments are from that interview:

- This is a photo of a real adept. I know students who have struggled for many months, and sometimes years, to reach the level demonstrated by the student in the photo.

- Notice how perfect the gaze is.

- The back is perfectly straight. "He has obviously not been messed up by life yet." (Apparently as we age, we slump. Sam ain't slumped yet)

- My only suggestion would be that he work to bring his heels down flat on the ground, and that he bring his legs slightly closer together (hip distance apart).

- Most impressive, though, is that his head is resting on the floor. Master Inyegar is the only person I've ever seen accomplish this feat.

That's our boy....
